Nah, in your lifetime we'll be able to download your soul on a floppy disk and you can live forever.
Theres more to life than flesh and blood...

There's my brain's current state (i.e. all of my memory and what am I thinking right now), and it would be great to save a snapshot of it, but according to scientists, that would take more than 1 GB, so I guess we'd have to use a flash disk.

Come to think of it, there was something wrong in my post. 1 GB was the amount of information you can store, but since brains aren't equal for everybody, to properly save "you", it would be necessary to save exactly what neurons do you have alive and where are they, how are they connected, what's their state, their speed, etc. I don't know how much would it take, but it may be in the order 1 TB. With that information and an emulator that is powerful enough (and completely accurate), your consciousness could stay alive. I don't know if we'll be able to have that technology anytime soon though, it's really complex stuff.
